Dear New Student πŸ“š

🌸

Dear New Student,

Whether you are in elementary school, middle school, high school, or college, if you are a new student and you feel nervous, this is for you.

Being the new student can be very nerve-wracking and intimidating. You don’t know what to expect, you’re afraid that you might get lost, you fear that you will forget your combination lock, you think you won’t make friends, you wonder if your teacher will like you, or maybe you are concerned about the homework.

If these are any of the reasons you feel nervous, they are legitimate concerns. However, don’t ponder on them for too long because you have a whole school year to adapt and show people who you are and what you can do.

I could tell you to be confident and be bold, but it almost feels insensitive, because at the start of a new change like being the new kid in school, you are going to be nervous and that is ok.

If I had to give a tip though that worked for me when I was a new student on my first day of school, it would be to try to show myself friendly by simply saying hello and engaging with the class, even if it feels uncomfortable.

Because the Bible says, “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”

🌸 Proverbs 18:24 🌸

Also, another tip would be to not feel afraid to ask questions if there is something that you don’t understand or if you need help.

I encourage you new student to be courageous.

God wants you, His precious child, to be bold in Him!

Don’t worry about how others may think of you.

You are not alone, and there are other students just as nervous as you.

Your new environment may feel big at first, but it will feel smaller with time.

And you will meet that new friend or two who will help you adjust to your new school.

Also, say to yourself that you will have an amazing school year.

Be yourself, and let your light shine.

This is a scripture verse I always say to myself.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?”

“The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?”

🌸 Psalm 27:1 🌸

I hope you found this post to be valuable, and if it resonated with you, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Be joyful in your youth, don’t let anyone take your spirit away, and God bless you.

I wish you the best, and have a wonderful school year!

Your P.I.M PAL,

Selene
