Happy Thanksgiving: From Grief To Comfort

Happy Thanksgiving, P.I.M PALS!

πŸ‚\(o^-^o)/πŸ‚

Picture by Selene Washington on http://www.pimandpink.com

🍁

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time when we celebrate the people and things we are thankful for and embrace those of whom we are most grateful. While Thanksgiving typically brings about great joy, it can also be a time of great sorrow and grief for those who have lost loved ones. For those who have lost people close to them, Thanksgiving can be a painful reminder of what they once had instead of a celebration of what they are grateful for. If you are one of these people currently grieving the loss of a loved one or loved ones this Thanksgiving, then here is what I want to tell you:

Run to Jesus. His arms are wide open and are filled with a deep love that only He can give you. If you feel lonely this Thanksgiving Day (or any day for that matter), remember that Jesus sincerely loves you and that He wants you to live in His love. Know that Jesus’s love will bring you the ultimate comfort in the midst of your pain and sorrow.

There are several Bible verses that speak of Jesus’s care towards those in sorrow, a few of which I have listed to remind you of the love and comfort He gives to those who are brokenhearted or crushed in spirit.

🍁 Matthew 5:4 (ESV) 🍁

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

🍁 Psalm 147:3 (ESV) 🍁

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

🍁 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) 🍁

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

🍁 Psalm 34:18 (NIV) 🍁

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

🍁 Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) 🍁

Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

🍁 Romans 8:38-39 (NIV) 🍁

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Therefore, reader, by running towards God, your Father in Heaven, and crying out to Him about the loss of your loved one or loved ones, you will receive His comfort and peace that surpasses your own human understanding, and God will turn your wailing into dancing, as it says in the Bible verse, Psalm 30:11-12 (NIV) which says, “You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.” 🎼✨

With that being said, Happy Thanksgiving, P.I.M PALS. β™‘

I hope that all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving day today filled with joy and peace! For there is so much to be thankful for even in this life that is filled with many hardships. ✨🍁 πŸ¦ƒ

Merry Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!

Merry Christmas, P.I.M PALS! \(o^-^o)/ πŸ’•

Video by Selene Washington on pimandpink.com

I hope that you are having a lovely Christmas day today filled with love, joy, and peace. πŸŽ„

Over the years of celebrating Christmas, I have seen how much I have changed. When I was a little girl, I looked forward to receiving gifts. Now that I have gotten older, I look forward to giving gifts, as giving in itself is a gift. When I give gifts to my family and friends, I love seeing their joyous reactions and surprised expressions! To me, giving gifts is a way I can express my love to the people I care about. 🎁

Because of this, I am very thankful to God for giving all of us the greatest gift of them all: salvation through Jesus Christ. Salvation is what Christmas is all about. It was a gift made for all mankind who was plagued by sin and suffering. It is a gift that cannot be earned by any amount of money or any deed but was freely given through the birth, life, and sacrifice of Christ. And so, for all of us plagued by sin, and for those who are broken, downhearted, and lonely, we have been saved by grace. All we have to do is go to Jesus, recognize Him as our Savior and receive His gift of salvation. ✨

According to Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV), Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

This is what Jesus is saying to you, reader. If you are burdened by your sins and life’s struggles, then turn to Jesus. He will give you the comfort and relief you need. Our souls and minds can be full of troubles in this life, and there is so much trial and tribulation. However, know that God will never leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV), and He will give you joy and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 NIV).Β

So, this Christmas, as you give and receive gifts to and from those you love, remember that we were all given the greatest gift, Jesus Christ, who brought salvation to all mankind. You do not need to buy it, nor work for it. All you have to do is go to Jesus and simply receive it. ✨

Pink Winter Sky

Hi P.I.M PALS,

One day, I looked out my backyard and saw a beautiful pink sky surrounding the frosted trees and snowy ground. ❄️

The scene was just absolutely serene, and I wanted to share with you this picture I took of it.

And speaking of pink skies, Psalm 19:1 (NIV) says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”

Therefore, I thank God for such a beautiful pink sky, for it only comes from Him. πŸ™Œ

I hope you are having a lovely winter filled with warmth and serenity. And if it is snowing in your area, make sure to stay warm!

May your winter be filled with pink skies and snowflakes. ❄️ πŸ’•

God bless you and protect you always, and I pray that you are warm, safe, and healthy!

What is the true gift of Christmas?

Merry Christmas, P.I.M PALS! ✨

Welcome to today’s blog post about the true gift of Christmas.

So, what is the true gift of Christmas? The answer is the β€œChrist” in the word β€œChristmas.”

Jesus Christ is the true gift of Christmas. It all started in a manger in Bethlehem where the Son of God, Jesus, lay as an innocent baby. His mother, Mary, was a virgin chosen by God to give birth to a son who would change the world by saving people from their sins. And it says in God’s Word that if we choose to believe in Him, we will be free from our sins and have everlasting life.

β€œAnd she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins.” – Matthew 1:21

Every Christmas, I like to acknowledge Christ the Lord and praise Him for who He is in our lives. If it were not for His Son, Jesus, which is God himself but as flesh and blood, you and I would not be given the beautiful gift of life. ✨

β€œFor God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

Jesus Christ is the gift that we can always open our hearts to and be filled with peace, love, and joy at any time and place, whether it is Christmas or simply everyday life. 🎁 ❀️

β€œThanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” ~ 2 Corinthians 9:15

And every perfect gift such as family and friends, good health, safety, food and water, and a warm home, to name a few, all come from Christ, our Everlasting Father in Heaven. So, let us all rejoice in Him this Christmas Day and forever, for He is more than worthy of praise! ⭐️

β€œGlory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” – Luke 2:14

God Makes Us White As Snow

God Makes Us White As Snow

A winter poem by Selene

ο½₯:*:ο½₯ο½‘β˜†ο½‘ο½₯:*:ο½₯

Freshly fallen snow is delicate, soft, and pure.

It melts your sins away as if you’ve never sinned before.

Our sins are red like crimson, yet they become white as snow.

Then, purity radiates such a special glow.

And forever, you will shine as bright as the stars above.

All because of God’s pure love.

FALLing in Love with Autumn πŸπŸ§‘

Hello P.I.M PALS,

Welcome to today’s blog post about falling in love with autumn. 🍁

Autumn is here, and I look forward to this season every year. I love watching the autumn leaves drift by my window while I drink a warm cup of tea and play some music in the background. It makes me feel so relaxed and inspired, and it sets the tone for the rest of my day. β˜•οΈ 🎼 πŸ‚

To take a break from all my work, I decided to go outside and spend some quality time immersing myself in autumn nature. ✨

And as soon as I stepped outside and I felt the autumn wind blow through my hair and skin, I just fell in love with the beautiful autumn world around me. I cannot describe how happy I felt.

I found tranquility in every leaf that I touched and in the periwinkle blue sky that brought out the bright orange color of the trees.

And while this may sound cheesy, it was so nice to just hold a leaf in my hand and really look at it. It was a leaf that fell on me while I was kneeling down, and I loved observing how imperfect yet beautiful it was.

Everything about autumn feels very serene and nostalgic, unlike all the other seasons. It makes me think about my past, specifically my childhood as a little girl who always loved painting pumpkins or skipping on a brick or cobblestone pathway during this time. I tend to enjoy my surroundings even more when I am skipping.

God is the one who has truly blessed us with such a beautiful season being autumn. And therefore, it is best enjoyed when we choose to slow down and experience it while it is here.

There was a beautiful river that I just had to take a picture of. I love seeing the autumn leaves float on lakes, ponds, and rivers, only to reach their destination eventually. For I always wonder where they may end up. πŸ‚

As my family and I drive by, we see the roads covered in leaves. It makes driving even more enjoyable for us. The scenery is just so picturesque and beautiful that it almost feels unreal.

And anytime I go to the school library, I find the pathways to be so beautiful with the streetlights, the autumn trees, and the piles of leaves on the grass. There is something so aesthetic about libraries, cafes, bookstores, and academic institutions set during the autumn season that it almost feels like an old, classic film or a movie. πŸŽ₯ 🎞

Recently, my mother went to a bakery and got these adorable fall treats! I think they are so perfect for fall and bring nothing but pure happiness. πŸͺ 🧑

I encourage you, reader, that if you have been hard at work, busy, or feeling stressed or anxious about anything in the world or your personal life, allow yourself to just step away and enjoy the autumn season while it is here. You may experience feelings of joy, tranquility, or perhaps healing when you immerse yourself in the nature of the season, and maybe find inspiration or clarity. πŸ‚

Psalm 118:23 says, “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” Therefore, understand that God is the artist who created autumn just for you and me to enjoy. It is His doing. So, every beautiful autumn day that you get to spend is truly a gift and a blessing from God. ✨

Also, I want to thank both my mother and my brother who took the pictures and really captured the beauty of this season! πŸ“· 🧑

So, are you falling in love with autumn?

What are some of your favorite fall memories?

I hope you found this post to be valuable, and if it resonated with you, I would love to hear your thoughts.
