Highlights of P.I.M & PINK Blog 2024 + 2025 Blogging Goals! ♡

\(🎀o^-^o)/ ♡ ~ Happy New Year, P.I.M PALS! 🤍✨

It’s me, Selene, the blogger behind P.I.M & PINK, writing this to you! 👩🏻‍💻🎀🤍

And welcome to today’s blog post called, “Highlights of P.I.M & PINK Blog 2024 + 2025 Blogging Goals!” ♡

Picture by Selene Washington on http://www.pimandpink.com

First and foremost, I sincerely hope and pray that all of you had a lovely and blessed Thanksgiving and a very merry Christmas full of love, joy, and peace, as well as a wonderful New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day! 🙏🤍✨

In this blog post, I wanted to share with you all some highlights of my blog, P.I.M & PINK, last year in 2024 and share with you all some goals that I have for my blog in the New Year 2025.  🤍✨

So, without further ado, how about we start with a quick review of some highlights of my blog from last year, 2024?! 🤗🤍✨

🤍 So, to begin with, the first highlight is the fact that I reached four years of blogging and acknowledged the fourth anniversary of my blog, P.I.M & PINK, or in other words, my fourth “blogiversary” last year on September 20, 2024, in my “Happy Blogiversary! + A Special Announcement! ♡” blog post. In addition, I also made a special announcement within my blogiversary blog post about two YouTube channels that I have planned to start in the future, for one will be a channel for my blog, and the other will be a personal channel. 🤍✨

🤍 The second highlight is the fact that I got more creative and experimental with my blog posts, videos, and content creation overall in 2024. 🤍✨

🤍 The third highlight is the fact that I started and completed a blog series of mine that consisted of six blog posts in total called, “Autumn Rambles 🍁🎀🤍✨“, in 2024. 🤍✨

🤍 The fourth highlight is “My First Song Cover! 🌸🎼🎀🤍✨“, which I posted on my blog, P.I.M & PINK, back in early September last year, 2024, for doing so only helped me further break out of my shyness to sing praises to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, privately and publicly. 🤍🎼🙌✨

🤍 Lastly, the fifth highlight is opening up a Threads account, which is another social media platform, for my blog, P.I.M & PINK, as well as a personal Threads account last year, 2024, in hopes of spreading my blog’s message and blog posts out there to encourage and positively impact more people. 🤍✨

And with that being said, that is all for the highlights of my blog, P.I.M & PINK, last year in 2024, for let us move on now to the list of goals that I have for my blog, P.I.M & PINK, in the New Year 2025! 🤗🤍✨

Picture by Selene Washington on http://www.pimandpink.com

🤍 For starters, my first blogging goal this year in 2025 is to cover more important topics relating to my passions and my blog’s main focuses being purity, innocence, and modesty, as well as post primarily “sit down and talk” style videos of me discussing such topics that I not only feel passionate about but topics that I truly love and feel called and led by God and the Holy Spirit to speak and share about sincerely on my blog, P.I.M & PINK. For one, in 2025, I will be talking about how righteousness ties with purity, innocence, and modesty, as well as how the fruit of the spirit ties with purity, innocence, and modesty. In addition, I have so many more drafts of topics that I am very excited to publish and finally share with you all in the New Year 2025! 😄💗💖🤍✨

🤍 Moving on now to my second blogging goal this year in 2025, which is to post more Christian praise and worship song covers not only in my native language but in multiple foreign languages that I truly love and feel called and led to sing in by God Himself and the Holy Spirit on my blog, P.I.M & PINK. Even if I sing in at least one foreign language this year that is not my native language for one of my Christian praise and worship song covers, I will be happy, lol. After all, I am a linguist and such a lover of languages and cultures, so much so that I have always had a goal and dream of becoming a polyglot who is multilingual, or in other words, fluent in several foreign languages from around the world, so that I can speak and communicate with people from all around the world as well as witness to them and spread the Gospel, or in other words, “The Good News” to people who speak different languages from all around the world. For those of you who also love learning, studying, speaking, and/or singing in many foreign languages, I will share more of my foreign language learning journey with a biblical touch to it, of course, later on in the future on my blog, P.I.M & PINK! 🤍🎼🙌✨

🤍 In addition to song covers, my third blogging goal this year in 2025 is to finally post at least one classical ballet praise and worship dance cover on my blog, P.I.M & PINK, which would be the first-ever dance cover I would post! Of course, I would also love to post more dance covers that I have planned after the first dance cover in 2025, but the key here is to see if I can pull off the one dance cover first at the time that I want to do it this year in the spring. 🩰🌸🎼🤍✨

🤍 And now onto my fourth blogging goal this year in 2025, which is to share more about my figure skating and tennis playing journey with a biblical touch to it as part of my “Prove it to Yourself” series that I started on my blog, P.I.M & PINK, in 2022. In addition, I would also like to begin sharing about my rollerblading journey that I started in 2023 with a biblical touch to it as well on my blog, P.I.M & PINK, as it ties in with my figure skating journey. ⛸🎾🤍✨

🤍 My fifth and *technically* final blogging goal this year in 2025, lol, is to do something very ✨ special ✨ in celebration of the fifth anniversary of my blog, P.I.M & PINK, or in other words, my blog’s fifth “blogiversary” coming up this year in 2025! Just the idea of reaching five years of blogging ALREADY this year on my blogiversary date, September 20, 2025, is a pretty nice stretch, and a bit of a commitment. And therefore, I just thank God in advance for being with me throughout what has essentially been a dream of mine to be able to do for so long, even if there were some moments when certain people tried to make me feel small because I have a “small blog” that is growing slowly but surely. 🤍✨

And with all of that being said, that is all for my 2025 blogging goals, even though there is technically still more, lol, for the list can honestly go on, but I will just keep the rest of the blogging goals to myself until it is the right time to share and announce them! 😆🤍✨

Picture by Selene Washington on http://www.pimandpink.com

Overall, as I have said in my fourth blogiversary blog post last year, I am just going to continue being me and encouraging myself and others to strive to live a life of purity, innocence, and modesty that pleases and reflects the One True, Living God, Jesus Christ, and aligns with His Holy Word, even in the midst of this impure, corrupt world that we live in, for that is my personal burden and mission from God, as well as what my blog, P.I.M & PINK, is all about. 🤍✨

As the theme Bible verse for my blog, P.I.M & PINK, states,

🤍 Philippians 2:15 🤍

“That you may be pure and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a twisted and perverse generation, among whom you shine like the stars in the sky and as lights in the world.”

・:*:・。☆。・:*:・

And with that being said, for those of you who have already accepted Jesus Christ into your hearts and into your lives, as children of God, let us continue to walk on this narrow path of purity, innocence, and modesty together, even if it is not always easy or popular to do, and let us encourage one another as we are called to do by God, our Heavenly Father, with Jesus Christ, walking alongside us! 🤝🤍 ✨

After all, Jesus Christ is the Creator and perfect LIVING example of purity, innocence, and modesty, and He gives us the strength to fight off any temptations that the devil tries to put in our way. 💪🤍✨

Though we may stumble, we will not fall, for Jesus upholds us with His hand, as it says in 🤍 Psalms 37:24 (NIV) 🤍 in the Bible. 🤝🤍✨

Also, for those of you who have not accepted Jesus Christ into your hearts and lives yet, I just want to let you know that the door is always open for you to accept Jesus Christ into your heart and into your life, and if and when you do decide to walk in that door, I promise you that you won’t want to turn back. 🙏🤍✨

And with all of that being said, thank You, God, and my family for all of the blessings in 2024 and the blessings to come in 2025, for it is my family’s tradition to open the New Year with prayer, in which we all pray to God together as a family after the iconic New Year’s Eve ball drops in Times Square, New York, and the clock turns midnight, the start of the New Year. 🙏🤍✨

Based on what my family and I prayed about and what we already heard from God in prayer that night, I already thank and praise God in advance for all of the healing miracles that He has already begun doing and is going to continue doing for so many people, including you reading this, this year, in 2025, as well as the years to come! 🙏🤍🙌✨

My family and I also prayed about laying down any burdens, regrets, fears, worries, concerns, grudges, struggles, strongholds, and/or desires in the past that could hold us back from moving forward and doing God’s Will for our lives and instead, we are choosing to move forward and press on with God even stronger than before, so that we can fully know and receive His Will for our lives and what He wants us to do next as a family and as individuals, which reminds me of 🤍 Philippians 3:14 (NIV) 🤍 in the Bible, which says, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” 🙏🤍✨

Additionally, I want to personally receive the comfort that only Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit give. The Holy Spirit that God sends is not just powerful, for it is also a helper and comforter that we all need. However, we have to be open to receiving the Holy Spirit. Therefore, that is my prayer and my family’s prayer for me. As Jesus said Himself in John 14:26 (AMP) in the Bible, “But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.” 🙏🤍✨

And with that being said, thank you, God, my family, my friends, and all of you, my dear P.I.M PALS, for supporting my blog, P.I.M & PINK, last year and all of the years prior! I appreciate all of you for taking the time to read my blog posts and watch my videos, for I will see you all in my next blog post/video that I have planned to post in the New Year, 2025! 🫶🤍✨

If you are new here, I welcome you to my soft pink world of P.I.M & PINK, where I encourage all children to live a life of purity, innocence, and modesty (P.I.M) in the modern-day world! I hope that you enjoy your time here and choose to become a P.I.M PAL! 🤗🤍✨

Overall, I sincerely hope and pray that all of you have a very happy new year, and that you have lovely and positive memories and goals that you accomplished in 2024 to look back on and acknowledge that bring your mind peace. 🤍💭✨

Furthermore, I encourage myself and all of you reading this to commit all of your plans, hopes, dreams, desires, wishes, and/or New Year Resolutions to God (Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)), and to fully trust in Him that He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)). 🙏🤍✨

🤍

Thank you so much for reading! I hope that you found this post to be valuable, encouraging, insightful, enjoyable, and inspiring, for this was my first time writing a blog post like this where I reflect on some highlights of my blog as well as share some of my blogging goals. Fun fact: It was actually my father who encouraged me to do this blog post! Therefore, if you are reading this, Father, thank you for the blog post idea/suggestion! Love you, and may God bless you! 😄🤍✨

Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section down below, for I would love to hear from you. I also encourage you to share this post with a friend or a family member who may need to read it as well. 🤗🤍✨

Happy Blogiversary! + A Special Announcement! ♡

Hi, P.I.M PALS! (🎀o^-^o)/ 🌸🤍

It’s me, Selene, and welcome to today’s very special blog post, for I am celebrating my fourth anniversary of my blog, P.I.M & PINK, or in other words, my fourth “blogiversary”! 🤍

Picture by Selene Washington on http://www.pimandpink.com

I sincerely hope that you all have been doing well. 🙏✨

It has honestly been a while since I have done a purely written blog post like this, but in a way, it feels like home, lol. 🤍✨

I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge my blog’s fourth anniversary, which was actually on September 20, 2024. 🤍✨

However, I ended up not posting about my “blogiversary” that day because my sister’s wedding actually fell on the same day as my “blogiversary”, and since then, I have also been very busy. 🤍✨

And with that being said, I still wanted to take this time to thank God, my family, and those of you, my dear P.I.M PALS, for sincerely supporting my blog, P.I.M & PINK, for four years. 🙏🤍✨

Whether you have been here since the beginning, or you subscribed to my blog much later, I sincerely and wholeheartedly appreciate all of your love and support on my blog posts. 🙏🤍

I will admit that my blog has been a “slow burn” over these past four years, for it has been growing slowly but surely. 🌱

Furthermore, as a Christian blogger who specifically creates content about purity, innocence, and modesty from a biblical perspective, I know that not all of the information I share is popular, hence the phrase, “slow burn”.

However, rather than let that discourage me or make me impatient, I will instead continue to trust and believe that God’s Word, which I incorporate into all of my blog posts, as well as the encouraging messages that God puts on my heart to write, speak, and share on my blog, will not go void or go to waste. ✍🏼👩🏻‍💻🤍✨

After all, God says it Himself in the Scripture verse, 🤍 Isaiah 55:11 (NIV) 🤍 in the Bible, in which He states, “so is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to me empty, but I will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” 🗣️🤍✨

Plus, I always remind myself of the Scripture verse, 🤍 Galatians 6:9 (ESV) 🤍 in the Bible which says, “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” 💪🤍✨

Picture by Selene Washington on http://www.pimandpink.com

And with all of that being said, my blog since the very beginning has indeed reached, encouraged, and blessed many people who need it from all around the world, regardless of it being a “slow burn”, for I am truly so happy to be creating content for myself and all of you that you resonate with and feel encouraged by, for it is truly my heart’s desire to do so. 🤍✨

And as I have stated on my blog before, I truly believe that God’s plan was for me to start this blog not only to help me but to inspire or encourage YOU. ✨

As 🤍 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV) 🤍 in the Bible states, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” ✨

Also, 🤍 Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) 🤍 in the Bible states, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” ✨

Overtime, I have also become more and more fearless throughout my blogging journey, considering the fact that I went from posting purely written blog posts at first to eventually building up the courage to posting videos of myself talking on my blog too. ✨

Recently, I even posted my first video of me singing and praising and worshiping God entitled, “My First Song Cover!“, on my blog as well, which honestly felt like another breakthrough for me. 🌸🎼🎀🤍✨

Picture by Selene Washington on http://www.pimandpink.com

And with that being said, before I bring this post to a close, I wanted to make a special little announcement, for I will be starting two YouTube channels, one for my blog, P.I.M & PINK, and the other will be a personal channel with a variety of content coming soon, so please look forward to new and exciting videos, blog posts, content, and special events, coming your way in the future! 😄🤍✨

Picture by Selene Washington on http://www.pimandpink.com

Overall, I am just going to continue being me and encouraging myself and others to strive to live a life of purity, innocence, and modesty that pleases and reflects the One True, Living God, Jesus Christ, and aligns with His Holy Word, even in the midst of this impure, corrupt world that we live in, for that is my personal burden and mission from God, as well as what my blog, P.I.M & PINK, is all about. 🤍✨

🤍 Philippians 2:15 🤍

“That you may be pure and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a twisted and perverse generation, among whom you shine like the stars in the sky and as lights in the world.”

・:*:・。☆。・:*:・

Therefore, as children of God, let us continue to walk on this narrow path of purity, innocence, and modesty together, even if it is not always easy or popular to do, and let us encourage one another as we are called to do by God, our Heavenly Father, with Jesus Christ, walking alongside us! 🤝🤍

🤍

Thank you all so much for reading, watching, and showing all of your love and support on my blog, P.I.M & PINK, for four years! 🙏🤍✨

Innocence, Not Ignorance

Hi, P.I.M PALS! (o^-^o)/

Welcome to today’s blog post about innocence, not ignorance.

Innocence and ignorance are two words that are often associated with one another. Many people think they are both the same because they share a similar meaning. However, both words are very different and complex in both what they mean, and how they work in one’s life. And therefore, what do you say, reader, we start off with defining both words? ✨

Firstly, what is innocence?

Innocence is the quality or state of being innocent. To be innocent means to be free of guilt, sin, moral wrong, and corruption, especially through lack of knowledge of evil in the world.

However, a person can still be innocent and be free of guilt, sin, moral wrong, and corruption, even with having knowledge of evil in the world.

As Jesus said it Himself in Mark 7:14-15 (NIV):

“Again Jesus called the crowd to Him and said, ‘Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.‘”

Therefore, reader, as long as you do not act upon your knowledge of evil, you are not corrupt, and you remain innocent. But keep in mind that act of sin can be defined mentally as well as physically.

Secondly, what is ignorance?

Ignorance is the quality or state of being ignorant. To be ignorant means to simply lack knowledge, awareness, or education about something.

When you are innocent, people will assume that you do not know some things. They will think you are ignorant, sheltered, or naive, even though innocence and ignorance are not the same.

For instance, allow me to give you an example from my experience.

Throughout middle school and high school, I was often labeled as a sheltered girl who was living in her own little bubble.

Because I did not want to engage in any inappropriate jokes and conversations among my classmates, I was considered to be ignorant, naive, or sheltered.

My peers were already very curious about certain things at a young age. Their curiosity came from consuming a lot of tv shows and music that contained ungodly themes like drugs, violence, profanity, etc.

From my discernment and observation, I noticed how my peers romanticized these ungodly things so much so that they became desensitized to them. It was like adding beautiful music to inappropriate lyrics or words. 🎼

Sometimes, when I was sitting at my desk doing my work, I would cover my ears or sing a little song to avoid listening to certain conversations.

Eventually, though, I stopped reacting this way, and instead, I tried to focus on my schoolwork.

The sad part is they knew that their conversations were inappropriate and it not only made me feel uncomfortable but my other peers as well.

Oftentimes, they would approach me with sarcasm in their voice and say, “Aww, sorry, Selene, you are too innocent to hear this.” Or, they would say, “We shouldn’t say this in front of Selene, guys. She is the innocent one in the class.” It seems as if they were being considerate and respectful, but in actuality, they were patronizing or mocking me.

Sadly, I realized that they started to think I was self-righteous, which then led them to talk about me negatively behind my back. When I would walk through the hallways, I would hear laughter among my peers, and I would stop and ask them, “What happened?” They would just disregard or ignore me.

But what disturbed me the most is when some of my friends started to engage in those inappropriate jokes and conversations. They thought this was the only way to be accepted. And as an excuse, my friend would come over to me, pat my shoulder, and say, “You’re the pure one, Selene. That’s good. Stay pure. I lost my purity a long time ago.”

Illustration by Selene Washington on pimandpink.com

I remember just staring at her with a blank face, and I asked her, “Why are you saying that?” 😐

On one hand, I did not know whether to take her comment as a compliment, but on the other hand, I recognized it for what it was: she compromised what she knew to be inappropriate.

In addition to this, I remember being told by one of my peers that I am not going to survive in this world if I wasn’t comfortable talking about certain topics. Honestly, I thought that was a bit extreme!

Personally, I believe there is a time and place for everything. Some of these discussions involved stories about drugs, alcohol, or unnecessary drama, which in turn became a gossip column. Whether they were motivated by peer pressure or simple curiosity, I felt like my peers romanticized these things out of a hidden desire to experience for themselves what they discussed.

But if they had taken the time to get to know me, they would have realized that I understood what they were talking about all too well, as I have seen people I love fall prey to those very things that they discussed with glee.

So, I simply chose not to make light of something that I knew was potentially dangerous, and by danger, I mean could cause you to compromise your principles.

So, what they thought was cute, to me, it was equivalent to petting a lion that just finished eating. 🦁

Just because the lion is not attacking, it does not mean it is not dangerous. I say, “just finished eating,” because the lion is temporarily satisfied, but that does not make it safe. The lion will be hungry again and will find its’ next prey to devour.

The Bible explains how the devil is like a roaring lion, seeking who he may devour.

As 1 Peter 5:8 (NIV) says, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

Now, allow me to share what God has to say about ignorance in His Word:

Ephesians 4:17-19 (NIV), which gives instructions for Christian living: “So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.”

Therefore, reader, real ignorance is not knowing the harm in something that is harmful. When people start to become allured by evil things, they are deceived to think they are good. It separates them from God.

Ephesians 5:1-5 (NIV) says, “Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or course joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person – such a person is an idolater – has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.”

Many people think that gaining knowledge of evil in the world makes you no longer innocent. But, if you only define innocence as lack of knowledge of evil, then Jesus is the least innocent person in the world, because Jesus knew every evil in the world. However, when Jesus walked the earth as a man of flesh like us, surrounded by corruption, He did not indulge in evil or become corrupted by evil. Even when the devil tried to tempt Jesus three times when He was hungry and fatigue, He did not give into temptation. As human beings, we are not perfect, and none of us are innocent because we all have sinned. However, we can still choose to follow Jesus who is the perfect example of innocence. He creates in us a pure and innocent heart and mind. 🤍

It is inevitable that we will come to learn about the evils of this world. Because of this, we are expected to exercise wisdom and hold onto the Word of God to resist temptation, avoid indulging in evil, and remain innocent (or blameless) in the eyes of God. As Jesus said in Matthew 10:16 (ESV), “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”

And while you are trying to maintain your innocence in the midst of wolves, remember that, like me, you may be perceived as someone who is living in a bubble or sheltered. However, be strong and do not compromise and do not do what you know to be wrong and inappropriate. Sometimes, people will try to mock or corrupt your innocence, because they perceive it as self-righteousness or because it exposes their own corruption, similar to how light exposes that which is hidden in the dark.

As you try and remain in innocence, you will often feel left out from many things and may not be accepted by people who do not share the same values. For example, you may have not heard the latest song because of the crudeness of the lyrics, or you do not make or laugh along to certain jokes that are tainted by inappropriate innuendos. Whatever the case may be, do not believe you have to indulge in these things that may corrupt your innocence to be accepted by people, specifically those who are truly ignorant by believing or confusing evil things to be good.

In things of evil, be innocent as babies, but wise and mature as adults when it comes to things of God, as instructed in 1 Corinthians 14:20 (NIV).

I encourage you, reader, to not cave to peer pressure and indulge in the things of evil for the sake of acceptance. As I stated in my previous post, “The Narrow Path of Purity,” indulging in evil will only lead you down a path of corruption and self-destruction. I have seen this come to past with some of my peers who experienced exactly what they romanticized, and they only became more jaded, hurt, heartbroken, and corrupted in the end.

I gave this warning to my peers as well when I revealed to them that I was not oblivious, naive, or ignorant of the things they discussed, and I exposed their own ignorance of the evils by which they indulged in. Looking back to that experience, I realized God was using me as a light to help expose their shadows, not to shame them for their wrongdoings, but as a way to help them turn away from their wicked ways, so that through God’s guidance, they may pursue innocence instead of wickedness.

🤍

So, reader, have you experienced something similar? Has your innocence been confused for ignorance? Have you confused innocence for ignorance?

Do you see the value of innocence? Is innocence valuable and important to you? Do you value your own innocence?
